THE INVISALIGN PROCESS

Your Invisalign Journey at The Orthodontist.in

Whether you’re exploring Invisalign for yourself or your child, understanding the process can help you feel confident in your decision to choose the Invisalign System.

Step 1: Initial Consultation

Your journey begins with a complimentary consultation with Dr. Akash A M. During this visit, you’ll discuss your smile goals and concerns. Dr. Akash A M will carefully examine your teeth and determine if Invisalign is the right treatment for you or your child. If you’re a good candidate, you’ll receive a customized treatment plan that includes an estimated timeline.

Step 2: Custom Aligners

Once your treatment plan is finalized, a series of clear, BPA-free aligners will be custom-made for your teeth. These aligners are smooth and comfortable, designed to fit snugly without irritating your gums or cheeks.

Step 3: Aligner Fitting

When your aligners are ready, you’ll return to our clinic for your fitting. In some cases, small, nearly invisible attachments (or “buttons”) may be placed on your teeth. These help your aligners stay securely in place and are completely painless and temporary. Dr. Akash A M will ensure everything fits perfectly and explain how to wear and care for your aligners.

Step 4: Your Daily Routine

You’ll wear your aligners at least 22 hours a day, removing them only for eating, brushing, and flossing. As you progress through your treatment, you’ll switch to a new set of aligners every 1–2 weeks, gradually shifting your teeth into their desired positions.

Step 5: Follow-Up Visits

Unlike traditional braces, Invisalign requires fewer in-office visits. You’ll check in with Dr. Akash A M every few weeks to monitor your progress and make any necessary adjustments.

Step 6: Your New Smile

You may start seeing noticeable results within a few weeks. Depending on the complexity of your case, treatment can take anywhere from 6 to 18 months. The key to success is consistency — wearing your aligners daily and following your orthodontist’s guidance.
